The OCEANSIDE EDUCATION FOUNDATION is a non-profit organization, founded in 2000. Its primary goal is to help students of the Oceanside School District obtain a sense of our local history. Towards this end, our proposed projects focus on discovering, preserving and displaying the history of our community.
In 2000, OEF created Schoolhouse Green on the site of the old Oceanside School 1 property. Located on Foxhurst Road between Oceanside & Long Beach Roads, Schoolhouse Green has become a meeting place for Oceansiders for community events like the 9-11 Memorial and Oceanside Chamber of Commerce Annual Country Craft Fairs.
